Light of the World

The world lost a light for Jesus early Friday morning...and my heart is broken. One of the sweetest little girls I've ever met finally lost her 10 year battle. She was a patient at Children's and over the last few years, I grew close to Alexa and her family because they were "frequent flyers." Alexa's eyes always shone and she always had a smile on her face. She will never, never be forgotten...her love of life, her faith, her unshakable determination will live on forever in our memories. Thank you, Alexa, for touching my heart in a profound way!
